Why I Draw

There was a time I stopped seeing myself in the mirror—I was a mother, a caregiver, a helper to everyone but me. One day, I picked up a pencil again, and for the first time in years, I felt like I could breathe.

Now, I draw not to chase beauty, but to listen—to the quiet moments, to the warmth of life, to the parts of myself I had forgotten.

Cats became my companions on this journey. Their calm, their independence, their hidden softness—they remind me that it's okay to be gentle and strong at the same time.

Every sketch is a small act of healing—a way of saying, "I'm still here."
